The red wine Arcere Orcia DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Poggio al Vento has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Fogliatonda from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dense ruby red with cherry red edges. On the nose ripe plums, dried dates and toasted almonds, becomes slightly dusty, reverberating on cardamom and dried violets. Lively on the palate, is then dominated by fruit expression, very dense, slightly drying on the finish.
