The red wine Giallo Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Poggio al Vento has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark luminous ruby in colour. On the nose, aromas of dried violet blossom, dried wild berry, and toasted almonds, with subtle notes of pepper, incense and creamy coffee. The palate is very fresh with green notes and some dark fruit, unfortunately the grippy tannins linger too long on the finish.
