The red wine Prile Maremma Toscana DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Prelius has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Deep dark garnet with an impenetrable core. Spicy start with thyme and juniper berries, pepper, then blackcurrant and some smoke. Spans a wide arc on the palate, with velvety tannins, accompanied by finely integrated acidity, full-bodied, yet harmonious, still youthful, finishes on fine herbs.
