The red wine Vinas Velhas - Old Vines Reserva Douro DOC, vintage 2008 from the winery Quinta do Crasto has been rated in 2011 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Douro in Portugal.
Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate watery rim. Aromas of cinnamon and vanilla, ripe cherries, a hint of goudron, dark nougat, pleasant notes of precious wood. Taut on the palate, present tannins, underlaid with red berry fruit, medium body, still a little brittle on the finish, cherries in the aftertaste, good ageing potential.
