The red wine Barbaresco Montefico Vecchie Viti DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery Roagna has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Rich, brilliant garnet red. Very intense and complex nose, initially of canned peaches and anchovies, then lots of raspberry and dark cherry, very appealing. Shows accentuated saline-mineral notes as it progresses, juicy and with lots of fine-mesh dense tannin, spreads with ripe fruit, warm and round.
