The red wine Fossati Case Nere Riserva 10 anni Barolo DOCG, vintage 2003 from the winery Roberto Voerzio has been rated in 2013 with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Rich, dark garnet in colour. Very clear and memorable nose, shows amazingly fresh fruit notes, full of raspberry, some blueberry, rose petals and also pickled peaches. Overwhelming on the palate, as if from a single mould. Fruit and tannin are perfectly combined: lots of fruit, but above all lots of dense, wonderfully integrated tannin. Who said 2003 was too hot and could not develop well?
