The red wine Baffonero Maremma Toscana DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Rocca di Frassinello has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, rich ruby with a fine garnet rim. On the nose, pronounced savoury notes of coriander seed, pepper and bay leaf, followed by rich blackberry fruit. Compact and intense on the palate, with precise tannins, savoury notes, a hint of mint and evident wood on the finish. Still needs more time.
