Tasting from 16.10.2023: Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler

Bright, intense straw yellow with flinty reflections. A fragrant and savoury nose of candied pear and banana, as well as ripe yellow peach. White pepper and hints of toasted hazelnut are also on show. The palate is creamy and rounded, but remains very savoury rather than overripe. A crisp, well-integrated acidity, brings backbone and an also slightly salty note. Becomes slightly brandy-ish on the finish.
