The white wine Saint Claire Pioneer Block 3 Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2005 from the winery Saint Clair Estate has been rated in 2006 with Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Marlborough in New Zealand.
Wine produced in very small quantities from one of the four special blocks of the 56-hectare vineyard, which was founded in 1994. Pale greenish yellow. Intense gooseberry aromas on the nose, very intense herbal spice, great bouquet. Full-bodied on the palate, tightly meshed structure, has race, a fine citrus touch, elegant and endowed with finesse, great length, a fascinating wine that is well worth seeking out.
