The red wine Vecchie Viti del Salco Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Salcheto has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby. Opens on the nose with fine savouriness of ripe raspberry and dried rose hip, delicate strawberry and a hint of currant jam, underpinned by fine oak. Very clear, red fruit on the palate, polished, with a savoury finish, very juicy and long-lasting, a great Nobile.
