The red wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Salcheto has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red with a delicately brightening rim. Not quite clearly defined on the nose, some geranium, raspberry, then spicy-lacquer tones again. Juicy on the palate with crisp acidity, expansive, full of tension, good drive on the finish.
