The red wine Obvius Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2020 from the winery Salcheto has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 87 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red in colour with a purple rim. On the nose, fragrant aromas of ripe strawberry, dried orange zest and star anise. Initially richly fruited on the palate, unfortunately it’s very dominated by drying tannins on the mid-palate which linger.
