The red wine La Ricolma Merlot Toscana IGT from the winery San Giusto a Rentennano has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
It has a brilliant ruby colour with purple glints. There is a very intense nose, full of cassis, then blackberry and raspberry compote, all underlaid by a fine dark chocolate aroma. Initially on the palate there is a lot of ripe fruit, then it unfolds with plenty of gripping tannins, then unfortunately it is notably drying on the back palate.
