The red wine Campo alla Cerqua Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Tabarrini has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points.
It has a rich dark ruby purple colour, with a delicate bright rim. There are aromas of juicy raspberry, plum and cherry on the nose, with a hint of blood orange, and some lovely floral notes. It is elegant and polished on the palate, spreading out with enormous juiciness, a clear fruit core, coming in many fine layers, and with lots of grippy tannins on the finish. It still appears very young, and has nice salty elements.
