The red wine Tenuta Tascante - Contrada Pianodario Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Tasca d’Almerita has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 - 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nerello Mascalese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Brilliant ruby garnet colour with shiny core. Delicate red berries on the nose, then some cherry juice, orange zest, cold smoke, a hint of bacon, stony notes in the echo. On the palate initially juicy and with bright fruit, a vegetal touch, then unfortunately becomes a bit lean on the finish.
