The red wine Riserva del Conte Contea di Scalafani DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Tasca d’Almerita has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Perricone, Nero d’Avola from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright, elegant ruby red. Restrained but balanced nose, complex, albeit delicate. Very juicy on the palate, dense, with clear fruit and tightly meshed, enveloping tannins, shows elegant drive, builds up in many layers, great length and finesse.
