The fortified wines Taylor’s Quinta de Vargellas, vintage 2015 from the winery Taylor’s has been rated in 2018 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Tinta Barocca, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional from the region Douro in Portugal.
Dark ruby, purple reflections, soft brightening on the rim. Wild dark berry confit underlaid with chocolate, candied orange zest, tobacco spice and a hint of prunes. Pleasant nougat notes, ripe plums, integrated tannins, seems harmonious, sweet cherries on the finish, lingers, will benefit from bottle age.
