This has a deep ruby colour. On the nose it has rich and vivid fruit, with blackberry, plum, cassis, harmonious toasty aromas, and some subtle smoke. It is soft on the palate, with a velvety structure, a ripe acidity, fine tannins, and a certain elegance. It is very persistent, and again has dark fruit flavours. It is a pleasant and ripe wine in a gluggable style.
