The red wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Tenuta Valdipiatta has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby with clear garnet. Open and appealing nose, showing notes of dried porcini mushrooms, then lots of plum, some clove. Hearty, grippy tannins characterise the palate, dark fruit, seems a bit rough on the finish.
