The red wine Vigna d'Alfiero Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, vintage 2020 from the winery Tenuta Valdipiatta has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Powerful, rich ruby red. Initially elegant earthy tones on the nose, then ripe cherry, dried rosehip, precious wood, with a very ripe plum aftertaste. Very hearty on the palate, with soft tannins and rich fruit, comes in several layers, pithy on the finish, currently still showing some persistence.
