The red wine Bacchus Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Terre di Marcemigo has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 87 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella
Rich, slightly opaque ruby with a light garnet rim. On the nose, initially slightly burnt notes of toasted hazelnuts, then lots of coconut. On the palate, sweet woody notes with the coconut again, then a note of dill, but that is not really what you want to find in an Amarone!
