Strong, brilliant ruby, deep. Opens with notes of tobacco and leather, some game, then lots of ripe plum, blackberry, background of maquis bushes. Juicy and lush on the palate, showing lots of plump, ripe fruit of blackberry and dark chocolate, salty, builds richly, nice sweet texture on the finish.
