The red wine Iri da Iri Classico Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Valle dell’Acate has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nero d’Avola, Frappato from the region Sicily in Italy.
Tasting Notes
It has a brilliant ruby colour with some garnet glints. It is smooth on the nose with vivid aromas, pronounced notes of raspberry and plum, as well as some pepper in the background. On the palate there are plenty of grippy and dense tannins, and juicy fruit flavours, unfortunately it is quite drying on the finish.
