On first contact, an almost old-fashioned Médoc nose with a hint of mint, small red berries and malt, followed by a smoky note of charcoal and bacon. The tannins are grainy and moderately abundant, accompanied by a good mineral backbone, leading to a compact finish in which the alcohol becomes slightly noticeable.
