The red wine Barolo Lazzarito DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Vietti has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright, medium dense ruby colour. Classic nose with notes of rose, cranberry and fresh cherry, plus some earthy components. Opens up like a peacock’s tail on the palate, deep tannin, embedded in lots of texture, warm and round, very long finish.
