The red wine Mazerat, vintage 2023 from the winery Vieux Château Mazerat has been rated in 2024 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc from the region St. Emilion in France.
Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, brightening on the rim. Delicate notes of figs and nougat, sweet nuances of fine oak, inviting bouquet. Deep with ripe plums and firm, ripe tannins, mineral and well adhering, herbal-spicy, appears rich in fruit, will benefit from further maturation.
