The red wine Mazerat, vintage 2024 from the winery Vieux Château Mazerat has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc from the region St. Emilion in France.
Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Spicy, black forest berries, some cassis and clove, with ripe heart cherry in the background. Full-bodied, red forest berries, fine acidity, mineral-salty, a hint of currant, savoury finish, shows length and development, certain ageing potential.
