The white wine Monterotondo Gavi di Gavi DOCG 2016, vintage 2018 from the winery Villa Sparina has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cortese from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Medium bright golden yellow. Flattering nuances of ripe apricot paired with buttercream and almond, a touch of honey, in the second nose also ripe tropical fruits, papaya. Complex on the palate too, opens on buttered toast and vanilla, then the fruit, medium-bodied, shows tension and structure, lingers for a long time on the finish.
