Just a subtle note of plummy ripeness peeps through the smokiness on the nose, edged by a hint of coffee. The palate is dense, with juicy, almost luscious fruit and tannins that are bold, smooth, fine and ripe. This is a big wine but framed in freshness. Structure, fruit and freshness harmonise to present a most promising, balanced, elegant wine.
