Dark ruby with purple reflections; deep core of colour and slightly brighter at the rim. Tobacco-herbaceous underlying dark fruits of the forest and black cherry, with subtle hints of roasted nuts. Juicy, showing cool elegance, a finesse-rich structure, ripe tannins, red berries and minerality. An animating food companion, grown at 2200 meters above sea level.
