The fortified wines Warre’s, vintage 2016 from the winery Warre’s has been rated in 2018 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barocca, Touriga Franca from the region Douro in Portugal.
Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Black cherries, hints of prunes, dark nougat, candied orange zest. Full-bodied, relatively sweet texture, powerful, light chocolate, rather more opulent style, soft honeyed finish, quite good persistency, already developed.
