The red wine Südtiroler St. Magdalener Classico DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Wassererhof has been rated in 2018 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Vernatsch, Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Dark ruby red with a purple tinge. Deep nose of plum and violet, also savoury notes. Smooth and round on the palate, emphasised by small dark berries and some dark chocolate, remains long and vivid on the finish.
