Falstaff Wine Guide Italy 2026

The Wassererhof is located in the lower Eisack Valley between Bolzano and Chiusa in the municipality of Fiè allo Sciliar. The vineyards face west and are planted with Sauvignon Blanc and white Burgundian varieties. The grapes from the family-owned Mumelterhof in Leitach near Bolzano are also vinified at the Wassererhof. The steep, south-facing slopes of the Mock family's ancestral farm are home to the classic South Tyrolean grape varieties Lagrein and Vernatsch, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition to the wine cellar, there is also an excellent bar at the Wassererhof.

The Wassererhof embodies well-being, wine and wonderful food - you can only agree with that. Fine wines come from the farm's own vineyard. In the Buschenschank, Andreas Mock guarantees quality with dishes such as Schlutzkrapfen, dumpling variations, Erdäpfelblattln or barley risotto.
