The sweet and dessert wine Bernkastel Doctor Riesling Auslese, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Mosel has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Delicate, multi-layered aroma, shattered rock, candied citrus fruit, orange blossom, some papaya and pineapple, finely chiseled. Extremely compact on the palate, gripping sweetness-acidity combination, dense, candied fruit again, but also lime tart, remains fresh, enormously long, has ageing potential.
