The white wine Bernkastel Doctor Riesling Eiswein, vintage 1983 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Mosel has been rated in 2017 by Martin Kilchmann, Peter Moser, Ulrich Sautter with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Golden with copper reflections. Extremely clear and botrytis-free on the nose: forest honey, fig, applesauce. Expansive on the palate, but held together by tremendous acidity. Very mineral, dense, steely, long lasting. Breathtaking how finesse and intensity go hand in hand here.
