The white wine Weil Schlipf Pinot Blanc CS trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut am Schlipf – Schneider has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Still discreet on the nose, a use of oak with a sense of proportion, some herbs, cherry, bay leaf, and liquorice. On the palate taut phenolics, still very young looking, firm acid backbone reinforced by tactile mineral notes. It has a good density and a layer of creaminess on the finish.
