The red wine Weil am Rhein Spätburgunder Alte Reben trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut am Schlipf – Schneider has been rated in 2026 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from Baden in Germany.
A distinctly balsamic aroma rises from the glass, with medicinal notes mingling with pronounced ripe berry and cherry fruit. Raspberry, too. Subtle oak. The palate is mineral-driven, unfolding fine-grained, impeccably ripe tannins that juicily resolve the tension and, in the finish, once again give way to the supple, unadulterated fruit.
