Tasting Notes
Dark ruby-colored. Spicy raisin (Syrah), a hint of blueberry compote, tar, rheumatism ointment. Perhaps a hint of volatile acidity. The palate is taut, slightly sweetish, fresh acidity and powerful tactile mineral notes form a firm backbone. Extremely vertical, still fresh, juicy, with good density and sweet, draining fruit. Day two: Blackberry and elderberry pulp, cold salve, taut in the mouth, light CO2, clearly tactile-mineral, a hint of volatile but ripe, juicy tannin, very good length. Day three: elderberry juice, blackberry, ethereal herbs, pinimenthol, tar. No loss of freshness over the course of 48 hours! In the mouth, the tannin is still on the ball, dominant, not green, powerful, the sweetness has integrated very well. Strong minerality.
