The white wine Doosberg Riesling Spätlese VDP Große Lage, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut August Eser has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Ripe fruit, mirabelle plum, terpene-spicy notes, rosemary, blueberry, also iron, a hint of botrytis - a dense, but at the same time light nose. Caramelised on the palate, almost raisiny, powerful, with a balance that seems comparatively well-fermented, supple base, somewhat dry on the finish. A touch of Auslese!
