The red wine Spätburgunder Reserve trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Becker has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Baden in Germany.
There are fresh fruit aromas of wild cherry, elderberry, and red currant, as well as mint, and a well-integrated oak character. It is juicy and elegant on the palate, with chewy ripe tannins, a thread of acidity, and a minerality in the background. It is highly compact, yet with some nice characterful nuances, and it is still at the very beginning of its development.
