The white wine »Malterdinger« trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Bernhard Huber has been rated in 2019 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Weißburgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Flinty notes on the well-stuffed nose, alongside toasted almonds, pineapple, spices and tomato stem. The palate is lean and sinewy in build thanks to fine acidity. There's plenty of drive and tension, with phenolic grip to match, but also texture and charm. Pronounced minerality emerges on the finish, which has good length.
