Tasting Notes
Quite deep yellow in colour. A very well nuanced and also exciting nose, not very Baden, so you already know where the interest lies. In addition to pear, there is again the typical reduction note, flinty, smoky, gunpowder, Charentais melon, and very fine caraway. On the palate, substance and drive develop on a supple base, the tightly woven extract provides thrust, framed by refined acidity that also imparts delicacy, oyster juice, fine salinity, shows depth, although not the highest differentiation. Very fine, layered phenolics support the structure, the acidity also permeating the fresh, long, driven finish. In the end, a combination of Breisgau and Burgundy.
