The white wine »Vulkangestein« Grauburgunder trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Christian Bamberger – Steinhardter Hof has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Nahe in Germany.
The stony, savoury notes stand above the primary fruit, ripe apricot and peach, savoury, also yellow plum. The "volcanic rock" shows character and style on the palate, soft, harmonious components that are countered by the savoury minerality of the terroir.
