The white wine Birkweiler Rosenberg Chardonnay, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Dr. Wehrheim has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter, Rainer Schäfer, Elena Scheer with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Still a little closed at the moment. Coming through well, but already stony, mineral notes. Little fruit, more herbs. Mature rather than playful. The acidity on the palate is very striking and gives the Chardonnay real grip. Already very interesting to drink now. But I'd be happy to let it slumber in the cellar for another year or two.
