The white wine Morillon Merveilleux, vintage 2006 from the winery Weingut Erwin Sabathi has been rated in 2017 by Martin Kilchmann, Peter Moser, Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Southern Styria in Austria.
Bright yellow green in colour with silver reflections. On the nose, inviting yellow tropical fruit notes, subtle vanilla, hints of lychee and grapefruit, white peach, and some blossom honey. The full-bodied, fruity palate is elegantly textural with perfectly integrated fine oak spice and juicy ripe fruit on the long finish which is powerful but underpinned with a fine minerality. Certain ageing potential.
