The red wine »Wunderwerk« Cuvée trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Escher has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Smoky notes and balsamic savouriness on the nose - some undergrowth and forest floor in particular, with cassis, plums, blackberries and black pepper. The palate is opulent and broad, with volume and substance brought along by the warm year resulting in powerful, ripe tannins and an impression that lingers on the palate for a long time. Impressive.
