Tasting Notes
Pale golden yellow, silver reflections. Initially very restrained bouquet of white apple and tobacco, needs some air, then nuances of apricot and mango, herbal-spicy tobacco, blossom honey and orange zest. Tight-knit, fresh and very precise, white fruit nuances, salty touch on the finish, balanced, but still miles away from being ready to drink, has huge certain ageing potential to develop into another picture book wine. Must be decanted, as is recommended for most young Smaragd wines. (PM 6/24).
