The white wine Sauvignon Blanc Reserve, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut GEHRIG has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Very ripe yellow fruit on the nose, mango, pineapple and papaya. Broad on the palate, ripe acidity, shows substance and power, still characterised by the ageing in wood, savoury finish. An opulent wine that is well suited to food. Still youthful, has certain ageing potential.
