The red wine M1, vintage 2011 from the winery Weingut Gerhard Markowitsch has been rated in 2014 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Zweigelt from the region Carnuntum in Austria.
Deep dark ruby colour, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate bright rim. Black berryish confit, fine oaky spiciness, underlaid with subtle balsamic nuances, pleasant nougat touch, subtle plum fruit. Powerful, ripe cherry notes, well-integrated supporting tannins, fine acidity, blackberryish flavour, pleasant fruit, shows very good length, still very young, it will benefit from further bottle ageing.
