The red wine »Rot vom Kalk« Cuvée trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Hey has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blauer Zweigelt, Spätburgunder from the region Saale-Unstrut in Germany.
Opulent aroma of pepper, black cherry, dried blueberry, aronia juice, dried pine needles and roasted pine. The palate is much leaner, with a noticeable acid structure. Juicy cranberries, sour cherry, clove and bay leaf. A mineral edge rests on the teeth. Limey freshness. Goes well with smoked bacon.
